Former Boys And Girls Abused
Effie Climibie, another former care worker of Quarriers Homes, is convicted.

Effie Climibie a former care worker was convicted of abusing children in her care while working for the organisation. The case finished in August 2006 with Climibie being sentenced to community service.

Climibie was ordered to do community service after being convicted on three charges. Climibie faced many more charges but was subsequently found guilty only on a handful of the original charges. The case was heard at Greenock Sheriff court in August 2006.

Former children she abused complained that the sentencing was too lenient and that Climibie should have recieved a custodial sentence for her reign of terror.

Those former Quarriers Homes residents alleging abuse continue to seek justice with more cases due to come to trial in the near future.
